Our School was established by a Trust namely Sivakasi Nadar Uravinmurai.  The main object of the Trust is to provide the best Education and  build a better society. The pioneer members were Shri. A.S.K. Rathinasamy Nadar, Shri. A.M.M.S. Ganesan Nadar, Shri. S.K.S. Rajamani Nadar and Shri.K. Annamalai Nadar and other business community of Thoothukudi. They  had decided to open a  School in the year  1981. Initially the Uravinmurai has established a Primary School and named as “KAMARAJ CENTRAL SCHOOL” in tribute to the invaluable service rendered by  “Kalvikanthirantha Karma Veerar”, Shri K. Kamaraj. Initially the School was functioned in Karapettai Girls Hr. Sec. School Campus, Thoothukudi. 

On 14.06.1981, the inaugural function of the Primary School was conducted by Smt. Padmavathy, W/O. Shri. A.M.M.S. Ganesan Nadar. Under  the Presidentship of “KALVI THANTHAI”  Shri. S.K.S. Rajamani Nadar and Secretaryship of Shri. S.S.A.M.A. Paul Raj Nadar, the School had a steady growth with the necessary infrastructure.  Our First Principal’s name was Mrs. R.kanniammal. During the year 1991, our School had been upgraded from Primary to Secondary grade level. In the year 1992, we were able to send the 1st batch of X standard Students to the SSLC Board Exam. From 2001, Mrs. S. Prabhavathy serviced enthusiastically as Principal of our school for 19 years.   

The sincere effort taken by our Management, the Students strength has been increased consistently year by year.  Hence during the year  2006, we have decided to construct a School building in our own land situated  at Mappillaiurani Village, under the guidance of our President  Shri. S.K.S.C. Natarajan and Secretary Shri. V. Selvaraj.  In the year 2007, Kinder Garden Classes were started in the present Campus.  Shri. P.S.P.K. Maragatha Raja Pandian took over charge of Secretary during the year. After that Shri. S.K.S.C. Natarajan and Shri. S. Kalirajan took over charge as President and Secretary accordingly. In their tenure, we have shifted all the other  classes from Karapettai Campus to the current Campus at Mappillaiurani. During their tenure till 2020, II Floor in ‘A’ Block and New Blocks B and C construction had been completed. Due to Demise of Shri. S.K.Kalirajan and shri. S.K.S.C.Natarajan our members  shri. S.L.S.S.Thinakaran and shri. K.R.Thangaraj  took over the charge as the President and Secretary of the school. With financial support of TMB, our school Auditorium had been inaugurated on 11^th November 2021 by shri. J.Sundaresh Kumar, Regional Head of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank limited, Thoothukudi
